About SW11photos

Capturing the energy, emotion, and elegance of sport — one frame at a time.

SW11photos grew from my hobby of photographing my family playing and coaching netball — from grassroots courts to international fixtures. What started as a way to preserve memories for friends and teammates soon became a desire to capture the speed, intensity, and spirit of the game that the players love.

As I’ve discovered, sports and fast-action photography is a completely different challenge from the still landscapes and cityscapes I used to shoot while travelling. Indoors, under unpredictable lighting, everything happens in fractions of a second — and there’s no second take.

Understanding the flow of netball is just as important as knowing the camera. Anticipating movement, positioning, and the rhythm of play allows me to frame those decisive moments — a perfectly timed intercept, a mid-air pass, the quiet focus before a shot.

Through SW11photos, I’m bringing this together: attempting to provide parents, players, and clubs with vibrant, professional-quality images that celebrate the dedication and joy behind the sport — from local leagues to national stages.
