About SW11photos

Capturing the energy, emotion, and elegance of sport — one frame at a time.

SW11photos grew from my hobby of photographing my family playing and coaching netball — from grassroots courts to international fixtures. What started as a way to preserve moments for friends and teammates has grown into a desire to try to get slighter better each outing.

As I’ve discovered early on, sports and fast-action photography is a completely different challenge from the still landscapes and cityscapes I used to shoot while travelling. Indoors, under unpredictable lighting, everything happens in fractions of a second — and there’s often no second take.

Understanding the flow of sport is just as important as knowing the camera. Anticipating movement, positioning, and the rhythm of play allows me (attempt) to frame those decisive moments — a well timed intercept, a mid-air pass, the quiet focus before a shot.

Andy is a keen amateur photographer based in South West London, with a particular interest in capturing sport, community events, and the moments that bring people together. For added peace of mind, Andy holds a DBS check and maintains £2 million Public Liability Insurance. He works closely with clubs, schools, and event organisers to respect safeguarding and photography policies.

Photography is conducted in accordance with the SW11 Photos Code of Conduct, which outlines commitments around safeguarding, privacy, respectful behaviour, and responsible image use.

Selected photographs may be published on this website and through SW11 Photos social media channels, including Instagram, to celebrate sport, teamwork, and achievement. If you have any questions regarding photography permissions, image use, or the Code of Conduct, please get in touch.
